The Peculiarity of Sandblasting

The sandblasting is a process of glass working that involves exposing the sheet of glass to the abrasive action of the sand, which is ejected through the compressed air jet of the sandblaster.

In this way, the glass surface gets eroded, making it from clear to matte.      This workmanship is really interesting, since it enables the removal of glass transparency without hindering the passage of light, which is the most important feature of glass.

Indeed, the light continues to pass through, creating some gorgeous effects, which become even more beautiful when the sandblasting is done partially on the surface, leaving also some clear parts.
